Western Union Business Solutions provides enhanced currency options for Mass Payments, increasing available currencies by twenty percent

Western Union Business Solutions has increased currency support in its WU® Mass Payments API allowing Financial Institutions to expand their reach, improve efficiencies and transact now in more currencies by integrating our flexible global payments network into their product or service.

From marketplace disbursements and accounts payable systems to financial institutions servicing client needs – we can help you execute mass payments with confidence from most platforms that issue payment instructions. The new currencies include Bulgarian Lev, Malaysian Ringgit, Chilean Peso, Papua New Guinean Kina, Ghanaian Cedi, Russian Ruble, Jamaican Dollar, CFP Franc, Malawian Kwacha and Zambian Kwacha, with additional currencies becoming available in August. With payout available in 170 countries and territories, businesses can extend their global reach and foreign exchange capabilities while driving growth and efficiencies.

Users can access the Western Union Business Solutions global network of approximately 65 bank partners and 500 bank accounts. The ability to process mass payments in more than 60 currencies, along with our global compliance program, allows businesses to transact with confidence that payments are rigorously screened and monitored.

The WU Mass Payments API enables a superior experience for recipients with built in, real-time FX quotes. Partners can send up to 10,000 payments in multiple currencies in a single batch with near real-time payment tracking, report functionality and automated notification changes to payment status with the option to route payments over the Western Union Business Solutions global network.
